What Will the Course Cover?

We’ll give you a comprehensive introduction to online fitness education. We’ve broken down the mini-course into 7 lessons with the intention that it be completed over 7 days (1 lesson per day).

To keep your clients coming back you’ll need to help them achieve their goals. Make sure to focus on what they want, rather than how you like to train. What we mean by this is, if you’re passionate about powerlifting and you have a middle-aged female client with a weight loss goal, powerlifting is probably not the right approach for her.

  • Balke Treadmill Test
  • Fitness Test of Your Choice
  • 1 Repetition Max (1RM)
  • Core Stability Test
  • Vertical Jump Test
  • Using Fitness Tests

As a personal trainer, a lot of your clients will be new to exercise or have limited experience with it. The proprioception and self-awareness required to perform movements that you may perceive as easy can be very difficult to some people.

  • Neutral Posture
  • Range of Motion Tests
  • Postural Assessments
  • Summary
  • Mobility & Posture Screening

As a personal trainer you are trained to observe your clients movement and assess how well they perform. It is important to remember that they may not be as observant when watching you demonstrate movements for them. Something that may seem simple to you because you have done it hundreds of times, may not be simple to your client.

  • Free Weight Isolation Exercises
  • Free Weight Compound Exercises
  • Resistance Machines
  • Bodyweight & Functional Movements
  • Demonstrating Exercises

In this topic we’ll go through some common mistakes you’ll see with 6 of the main exercises: back squat, bench press, deadlift, bent over row, strict/military press and pull-ups.
